Our standard
What we will and will not put in a bottle, written down so you can hold us to it.
Every AKTA formula is built from the same nine ingredients. That constraint is the product — it is what lets us print a concentration and a reference beside every claim.
What we exclude
No fragrance, no essential oils, no dyes, no denatured alcohol. Not because they are universally harmful, but because they are the four most common causes of the reactions our customers arrive with.
Concentrations
Every active is listed at its actual percentage. If a formula contains 5% niacinamide, the label says 5% — not “niacinamide complex”.
Testing
Each formula is tested for four weeks on a panel of forty, with transepidermal water loss measured at week zero and week four. We publish the whole panel, including the people it did nothing for.
Packaging
Amber glass, aluminium cap, no secondary carton. Refills ship in the same glass with a paper sleeve.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we say so in the Journal and in the next monthly letter. The correction stays on the page permanently.
A claim without a concentration is marketing. A concentration without a reference is a guess.
